Press release: The 48th Ship for Southeast Asian and Japanese Youth Program 2024 Ho Chi Minh City

<html><head><meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=windows-1252"</head><body> <p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size:14px"><span style="font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif">The Ship for Southeast Asian and Japanese Youth Program (SSEAYP) is a collaborative initiative between the governments of the ten member states of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and Japan, aimed at fostering friendship and exchanges among youth from ASEAN and Japan. The program, initiated in 1974, has seen Vietnam&#39;s participation since 1995. Its primary objective is to strengthen mutual understanding and friendship among young people from Japan and ASEAN countries.</span></span></p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size:14px"><span style="font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif">For each participant, this program offers a unique opportunity to explore and experience diverse cultures within the region, thus enhancing their capacity for international integration. The arrival of the Ship for Southeast Asian Youth Program in Ho Chi Minh City provides an excellent platform to introduce to international friends a generation of Ho Chi Minh City youth who embody the spirit of &ldquo;Patriotism, Solidarity, Proactiveness, Sreativity, and Integration&rdquo; in this new era of national development.</span></span></p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size:14px"><span style="font-family:arial,helvetica,sans-serif">Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Ho Chi Minh City has been honored to be entrusted by the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Central Committee and the National Committee on Youth of Viet Nam with the responsibility of hosting the Ship for Southeast Asian and Japanese Youth Program 15 times (in 1996, 1997, 1998, 2000, 2002, 2004, 2005, 2007, 2008, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2015, and 2016), and will continue to host the 18th edition in 2024. According to the program, the Ship for Southeast Asian and Japanese Youth Program is scheduled to dock at Tan Cang &ndash; Hiep Phuoc Port in Nha Be District and operate in Ho Chi Minh City from November 14 to 17, 2024.
