<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 6pt; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Arial;">Sáng ngày 24/12, Đoàn đại biểu Câu lạc bộ Truyền thống Thành Đoàn, Thành Đoàn, Hội Liên hiệp Thanh niên TP.HCM, Hội Sinh viên Thành phố, Hội đồng Đội Thành phố do đồng chí Nguyễn Văn Hiếu - Thành ủy viên, Bí thư Thành Đoàn TP.HCM dẫn đầu, đã đến viếng giáo sư, nhà giáo nhân dân, anh hùng lao động Trần Văn Giàu - Nguyên Bí thư Xứ ủy Nam Kỳ, nguyên Chủ tịch Ủy ban Kháng chiến Nam bộ. </span></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 6pt; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Arial;">Giáo sư Trần Văn Giàu là một tấm gương sáng, một nhân cách lớn của dân tộc, là bậc đại thụ của giới trí thức Việt Nam. Trong suốt cuộc đời mình, giáo sư Trần Văn Giàu đã dành trọn cho sự nghiệp đấu tranh và giải phóng dân tộc, là tấm gương sáng với tấm lòng tận tụy phụng sự Tổ Quốc, phục vụ nhân dân, cống hiến suốt cuộc đời với hơn 150 công trình nghiên cứu khoa học.</span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 6pt; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Arial;"><span style="color: rgb(3, 3, 3);">Hơn 80 năm hoạt động cách mạng của mình, giáo sư Trần Văn Giàu đã có nhiều đóng góp to lớn, được Đảng, Nhà nước tặng thưởng Huân chương Hồ Chí Minh, Giải thưởng Hồ Chí Minh, Huân chương Độc lập hạng nhất, danh hiệu Anh hùng lao động, Huy hiệu 80 năm tuổi Đảng và nhiều huân chương, huy chương cao quý khác.</span></span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 6pt; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Arial;"><span style="color: rgb(3, 3, 3);">T</span>hế hệ tuổi trẻ thành phố hôm nay nghiêng mình kính cẩn và nguyện luôn phấn đấu học tập và rèn luyện theo tấm gương sáng của giáo sư, xứng đáng là lớp thế hệ kế thừa tinh thần đam mê học tập và nghiên cứu không ngừng nghỉ của người thầy lỗi lạc Trần Văn Giàu.</span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 6pt; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Arial;">Lễ truy điệu sẽ cử hành vào lúc 7 giờ 30 phút ngày 25/12/2010 tại hội trường Thành phố Hồ Chí Minh, linh cữu sẽ được an táng tại quê nhà (xã An Lục Long, huyện Châu Thành, tỉnh Long An), hưởng thọ 100 tuổi.</span></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 6pt; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Arial;">Tháng 5/1930: đồng chí tham gia biểu tình trước Dinh tổng thống Pháp đòi hủy án tử hình với các thủ lĩnh cuộc khởi nghĩa Yên Bái, đồng chí vào Đảng Cộng Sản Đông Dương tháng 8/1930</span></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 6pt; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Arial;">Tháng 4/1940: đồng chí ra tù, nhưng sau đó bị địch bắt lại và bị đưa đi biệt giam ở trại Tà Lài</span></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 6pt; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Arial;">Tháng 8/1945: đồng chí tham gia lãnh đạo chính quyền nhân dân ở Sài Gòn và các tỉnh Nam Bộ. Tháng 9/1945, đồng chí được cử làm Chủ tịch Ủy ban Kháng chiến Nam Bộ</span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 6pt; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Arial;">Năm 1949 đến năm 1951: đồng chí được cử làm Giám đốc Nha Thông tin, sau đó chuyển sang công tác ở Bộ Giáo dục, tham gia xây dựng ngành dự bị đại học và sư phạm cao cấp.</span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 6pt; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Arial;">Năm 1954: đồng chí làm Chủ nhiệm khoa lịch sử, Bí thư Đảng ủy trường Đại học Tổng hợp Hà Nội.</span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 6pt; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Arial;">Năm 1962 - 1975: đồng chí công tác tại Viện Sử học thuộc Ủy ban Khoa học Lịch sử Việt Nam</span></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin-bottom: 6pt; text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Arial;">Đồng chí là chủ tịch danh dự Hội Khoa học Lịch sử Việt Nam, Chủ tịch Hội đồng Khoa học xã hội Thành phố Hồ Chí Minh.</span></span></p>
<span style="font-size: small;"><span style="font-family: Arial;">Trong quá trình công tác và nghiên cứu, đồng chí đã viết các tác phẩm: Triết học phổ thông; Biện chứng pháp; Vũ trụ quan; Duy vật lịch sử Sự phát triển của tư tưởng Việt Nam thế kỷ XIX đến Cách mạng Tháng Tám; Giá trị truyền thống của Dân tộc Việt Nam; Sự khủng hoảng của chế độ nhà Nguyễn trước năm 1858; Lịch sử chống xâm lăng; Giai cấp công nhân Việt Nam; Lịch sử cận đại Việt Nam; Miền Nam giữ vững thành đồng; Địa chí Văn hóa Thành phố Hồ Chí Minh,…</span></span></td>
