During the recent Youth Fest in 2024, the youth of Ho Chi Minh City had an exciting three-day experience with a wide range of remarkable activities and events. The festival not only provided a playground for young people to enjoy and explore but also served as a space for them to actively participate and gain deeper insights into the diverse cultures of ASEAN nations. Here, international friends were warmly welcomed and shared joyful moments with the youth of Ho Chi Minh City. Not only is the festival an event for domestic youngsters, but it is also open to international friends to attend and discuss matters of importance, notably the forum “Generation Ready” organized for youngsters within and outside Vietnam and colloquies between Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Ho Chi Minh City and Lao People's Revolutionary Youth Union of Vientiane Capital, Champasak province, Attapeu province.   Trước đó, ngày 21-3, tại Trường Đoàn Lý Tự Trọng, Thành Đoàn TP. Through the forum, the delegates engaged in lively discussions, and proposed numerous initiatives, and creative solutions to enhance the quality of youth cooperation while also empowering the role of young people in shaping the future of our country.   Tại đây, các đại biểu được chia thành 04 tổ thảo luận gắn với từng thành tố của chủ đề và đại biểu ở các tổ thảo luận sẽ trao đổi về những nội dung khác nhau, tập trung vào vai trò của thanh niên trong xã hội và đưa ra các giải pháp khắc phục những trở ngại có thể xảy ra trong quá trình học tập và phát triển của thanh niên. Here, delegates were divided into four discussion groups. The delegates concentrated on topics such as: enhancing the quality of youth collaboration within and outside the country; seeking solutions to realize initiatives and promote the role of youth in shaping the future; identifying the real-world challenges that young people may encounter while developing their own values and providing further solutions to accompany youth in overcoming those barriers; putting forth international collaborative initiatives aimed at enhancing knowledge and skills for the younger generation. <img alt="" src="http://www.thanhdoan.hochiminhcity.gov.vn/ThanhDoan/webtd/Content/news/2024/3/36943/12.jpg" style="height:400px; width:600px" /> Bạn Trường Huy cùng bạn bè quốc tế chia sẻ về những thực trạng & giải pháp hiện nay Trường Huy and international friends shared about the current situation and solutions Khi được hỏi về diễn đàn, bạn Trường Huy (Sinh viên Trường Đại học Khoa học Xã hội và Nhân văn - ĐHQG-HCM) đã chia sẻ rằng diễn đàn giúp bạn có thêm được những góc nhìn mới từ bạn bè quốc tế, giúp bạn học hỏi và tích lũy thêm kiến thức để có thể hội nhập quốc tế một cách hiệu quả và trở thành một công dân toàn cầu để phụng sự cho nước nhà. Trường Huy cùng với tổ thảo luận của mình đã cùng dựng nên một chương trình về Mentorship miễn phí dành cho giới trẻ Việt Nam hiện nay. Tuy không phải là một ý tưởng quá mới mẻ nhưng ý tưởng này đã giúp Trường Huy cùng nhóm thể ước muốn hỗ trợ các bạn trẻ có thêm môi trường để học hỏi và phát triển bản thân, qua đó xây dựng nên một lực lượng nguồn nhân lực trẻ đa dạng, linh hoạt, năng động, và chất lượng cao để phát triển đất nước. When asked about the forum, Truong Huy (Student of University of Social Sciences and Humanities - VNU-HCM) expressed that the event had provided him with new perspectives from international friends, enabling him to learn and accumulate knowledge to effectively integrate internationally and to become a global citizen serving his country. Together with his discussion group, Truong Huy developed a free mentorship program for Vietnamese youth. Also at the forum, Fairus Noor Balqis Binti Mohamad Fauzi, the President of the University of Malaysia’s Volunteer Club, shared profound perspectives on the definition of “volunteer”: “Volunteering lies within each individual, constituting a significant part of overall activities for personal development and skill enhancement. It also presents a great opportunity for self-improvement. For me, volunteering can even stem from small acts of kindness, such as helping friends and those around you. The first colloquy involved discussions between Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Ho Chi Minh City and Lao People's Revolutionary Youth Union of Vientiane Capital. The second one focused on the dialogue between Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of HCMC and Lao People's Revolutionary Youth Union of Champasak province. In the third colloquy, Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Ho Chi Minh City warmly welcomed Lao People's Revolutionary Youth Union of Attapeu province. Following colloquies, Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and the other parties have agreed to strengthen cooperation based on a spirit of mutual support. They have promised to alternately organize delegations to exchange experiences periodically.
